What a great game we had today. Everyone played very hard, and although we only had two subs on a warm Spring day, we kept up the pressure and did well. Rafael had two goals (with assists from Charlie and Richie), and Charlie had one off a long punt by Austin. Our defense, although a little porous at first, shut down almost every attack, with complete and total domination in the second half (the other team didn't even get a shot off).
My only concern is that we still tend to play small-ball a lot. That is, the team bunches in together and doesn't use the entire width of the field. We'll need to do that against our next opponent, the Lions.
Our thoughts are with AJ and his family.
